Easy Homemade Super Saver

With so many sales and holiday’s approaching, it becomes so tempting to spend. Here’s an idea to help you save all that extra change you care a little less about. Instead of saying keep the change when getting your money back, why don’t you keep it and put it in your piggy bank. The best part is all you need are supplies found around the house!

Things you’ll need:

  • A 2L pop bottle
  • Crazy Glue (optional)
  • Scissors (optional)
  • Left over change

*  The 2L bottle has an opening able to fit Pennies, Nickels and Dimes if you wish to put coins of larger size you will require Scissors and Crazy Glue. *

Steps:

  1. Take Scissors and make a slit (ensure slit is wide/long enough to fit coins as big as two dollars and bills if you desire) in the top portion of the pop bottle.
  2. Test functionality of slit with coins
  3. Once slit is fully functional, glue pop bottle cap to the ensure bottle will stay closed ( to make sure there is no stealing from your cookie jar!)

FUN FACT:  2L of dimes saves you approximately $500.00
